Microsoft's "One Drive" things you need to know !!

By this time we have been introduced with many cloud storage systems. For instance, Google Drive, Apple's iCloud, DropBox and Microsoft's OneDrive. Among them OneDrive has some distinct features which others not allowed. And that is why I keep OneDrive in the first row in this cloud storage batch.

Here i am writing about some queerish feature of OneDrive in two or three posts.

Feature#1: Remote Access to your Files at home

The main purpose of cloud storage is to give you access of your work document, picture or anything important safely in online. You just sync or upload important thing in online storage and can access it anywhere in the world. What if, you forgot to upload a presentation file which prepared last day and forgot to upload? Your meeting is in 5 minutes. What to do now? Don't worry! One Drive fetch option will keep you safe from this kind of trouble. By enabling this feature you can browse all your files on your computer through one drive website. Then you need to download the necessary files and start your presentation. Remember, this only works if your own pc is up and connected to the internet.

To Enable Fetch follow below steps:

1. From the notification area right-click the OneDrive icon and click Settings.
2. Then make sure to check Let me use OneDrive to fetch any of my files on this PC.
3. Click OK to finish.

No other configuration is needed.

Now to access the file remotely:
1. open your web browser sign-in to your Microsoft Account
2. under PCs, click the name of your computer
3. Then, you should be able to see the location available to you, including Favorites, Libraries, and This PC.

These allow you to have access to the C:// drive, internal and external connected drives.

Note: If any of the process not work. Just exit from One drive and re launch the app.

to be continued...
